Important Information on RV Rentals

Motorhomes come with a generator so you can camp anywhere you want, with or without hook ups. Generators are only needed when the RV is not plugged into shore power. The only items that require AC power is the overhead air conditioner, microwave, TV/DVD players, and any item you want to plug into an AC wall outlet. Generator fees are 2 hours free per day with $3.00 per hour after the free usage on Motorhomes. PleasureLand RV also offers portable generators to rent for Travel Trailers and Ice houses for an additional fee.
All rental fees are subject to Minnesota State Sales Tax PLUS local city tax. We collect it for the state and DO NOT retain ANY portion of it – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS CONDITION!
You will be charged a damage deposit at the time of departure. You must return the vehicle in the exact condition as it left in order to receive your full damage deposit back – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS CONDITION!
All renters and any additional drivers must be 25 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license. Each motorized vehicle has a designated number of seatbelts. Those quantities are listed in the general description of the vehicle on the website and in the brochure. For your safety, please do not exceed the number of seatbelts in the vehicle. We must receive copies of driver’s license for ALL who will be driving – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS CONDITION!
Tent trailer/fold down trailers are equipped with 7 way round plug and 2” ball. Tent trailers MUST have electric hook ups for lights, furnace and water pump. Please make sure your trailer light wiring is in working order BEFORE you arrive to pick up your rental! We cannot guarantee we will have a technician available to assist with vehicle electrical issues.
Travel Trailers must be equipped with an electric brake control and a 2 5/16” ball. We will suggest the option of renting an equalizer hitch if we feel you may be in need of one. Please let our staff know as ASAP if you would like to rent one of our equalizer hitches as we have a limited supply available. Equalizer hitches ARE NOT required by Minnesota state law compared to brake controls, which are. Please make sure brake control and trailer light wiring is in working order BEFORE you arrive to pick up your rental! We cannot guarantee we will have a technician available to assist with brake control or vehicle electrical issues.
Destination Trailers must be equipped with an electric brake control and a 2 5/16” ball. If you will be towing the destination trailer (not having it delivered by PleasureLand RV), we require that the tow vehicle be at least a 1 TON (preferably a dual rear wheel) and that the use of an Equalizer Hitch is required for any vehicle. Please make sure brake control and trailer light wiring is in working order BEFORE you arrive to pick up your rental! We cannot guarantee we will have a technician available to assist with brake control or vehicle electrical issues.
Class C Motorhomes are the smaller variety of a motorhome. They resemble a large truck when viewing the outside of the vehicle. They require a standard class D drivers license to operate. If towing a trailer of any kind behind a Class C, the combined weight of cargo and trailer must not exceed 3000lbs.
Class A Motorhomes are the larger variety of a motorhome. They resemble a tour bus when viewing the outside of the vehicle. They require a standard class D drivers license to operate. If towing a trailer of any kind behind a Class C, the combined weight of cargo and trailer must not exceed 3000lbs.
Please contact your insurance agent to let them know that you will be renting from us. We MUST have a binder or a copy of the declarations page/coverage page from the insurance company stating that the rental will have FULL COVERAGE before you leave. Arrangements can be made through us if your insurance company is not able to provide coverage. In any case, the Rental Manager has to approve ALL outside sources of insurance. This is to protect both YOU and PleasureLand RV.
Dogs are allowed for a $150.00 fee. A cleaning fee of up to $200.00 will be collected if there is evidence of the dog upon return of the rental.
NO SMOKING Allowed!
NO PERSONAL CHECKS within 14 BUSINESS DAYS of departure. Cash, credit cards, or certified checks on day of pick up only! The balance of your rental must be paid in full prior to your departure. If payment cannot be made at time of departure YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELED! – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS CONDITION!
Gasoline/Fuel and LP tanks are filled when unit is picked up and must be returned FULL – NO EXCEPTIONS!
Black/Gray holding tanks must be empty when unit is returned! We will show you how to do this and we DO NOT charge a fee for you to dump them at our facilities – NO EXCEPTIONS!
The interior of the vehicle (including external compartments) must be clean upon return to PleasureLand RV. You will be charged a fee if we have to clean the vehicle for you. You will also be charged a cleaning fee if the exterior of the vehicle is excessively dirty.
Departure & Return: We will schedule your pick-up time approximately one week before your departure date. Please be advised that this time we schedule for you is YOUR dedicated time for paperwork completion and orientation. Please arrive on time to avoid delays! We provide a thorough orientation on the operation systems of the vehicle you rent. Along with the orientation, we also do a check out sheet that list the outbound mileage, fuel and LP tank readings, holding tank readings, and vehicle condition. You will be given a signed copy of the check out sheet upon departure. We will use the same check out sheet when you arrive back from your trip to note the inbound mileage, fuel and LP tank readings, holding tank readings, and vehicle condition. You are responsible for all new damage that occurs to the vehicle while you are in possession of it, regardless of fault or not. The check out sheet is used to track the overall condition of the vehicle, both out bound and inbound and will be used as the basis for determining the status of your damage deposit refund. Cancellation Policy: 60 days or more prior to your departure, cancellation fee is half of applied deposit. 59 days and less to your departure, all pre-paid monies are forfeited. We will hold your deposit on an account for a future reservation. If we are able to re-book your cancelled reservation, your deposit will be refunded.
